Um, that's not a cat. I will refrain from the obvious puns and one liners. For now anyway.

Sex Before Marriage
by Wishididntknow inhow many witness couples percentage wise do you think slip up and have sex before wedding day?
did you?.

I would also assert that if you are dating someone and don't find it difficult to stay "chaste" then you aren't really compatible as marriage mates. Physical, sexual attraction is the difference between being friends and being lovers. I don't want to be married to any of my friends, because it's just not that sort of relationship even though I may love them dearly.

you need to exert yourself in order to have a great frickin weekend. apparantly, you just didn't try hard enough. remember, the Lord will provide what you need if you just put your faith in Him. Don't give up, Brother - the finish line is just ahead!

I've always wondered that myself. I didn't become a witless until long after I was married, so my own experiences aren't exactly relevant. However, I do remember the irresistable attraction to the object of my affections, and I can't imagine how people who have any freedom of movement manage to keep their hands off each other. I was on a short leash when I was 14 and never out of my mother's sight, but when I was 17 and on my own at college....

the only time I ever fell in love for real was Just ROn. I *thought* I was in love several times before I met him, but in hindsight those relationships were not real love.

Oh Oh, the Other Sheep must be 'Weeds'
by The Searcher intoday's watchtower study article makes a definitive statement;the anointed are the "wheat".
that must mean that the 'other sheep' are part of the "weed" class, because only two groups are mentioned regarding christ's judgement.. can i respectfully suggest to anyone at hq who reads this; find out what the bible really teaches, and heed christ's stark warnings at revelation chapters 2 & 3.. .
wheat and weeds grow together.

If I gotta be a weed, I'd prefer to be cannabis. AT least I'd be a popular weed - not like crab grass or poison ivy

How many of you would have let your child die over the blood issue?
by UnConfused ini knew and planned, that if it came to that, i would close the door and tell the doctor to use blood to save my child and let god kill me for it if needed.
.
i lacked faith that we were 100% right i guess so i couldn't take that risk.

I don't know what I would have done. I hope I would have authorized a transfusion when it became clear that it was necessary. I was so caught up in the lie for so many years.

"Privileges"
by Joe Grundy inyet another question (two actually), i'm afraid (but i am learning from all this, honestly!)..
i've seen the term 'privileges' on here many times, and i think i now understand that it means 'being allowed to carry out tasks in the congregation' - which includes walking round with the microphone, operating the pa system, etc.
in the services.

Just Ron got to do a lot of mowing, all by himself. The hall has about 3 acres to be mowed, including a huge ditch area that is too steep to mow with a riding mower. Couple that with the fact that the hall's mower typically broke down at least once every time he tried to use it, and that none of the other brothers ever bothered to weed eat the bottom of the ditch, so it was always overgrown and swampy. He's looking forward to a summer full of not mowing the kingdom hall this year.
